On May 28th and 29th, the SLC will be a participant in the 17th annual Doors Open Toronto. #DOT16 is a free two-day event presented by Great Gulf that features over 130 architecturally, historically, culturally and socially significant buildings across the city – the SLC being one of them!
We will open our doors and welcome visitors to explore our award-winning space. Guests can choose to take a guided tour led by an SLC Specialist or stop in to check out the Library’s Digital Media Experience (DME) or Launch Zone.
During #DOT16 the SLC will be open to the public and welcoming them through the Gould Street doors on:
- Saturday, May 28th: 10am – 5pm
- Sunday, May 29th: 12pm – 5pm
Operating hours for the SLC will remain the same for all students needing a place to study.
Guided Tours on Saturday, May 28th are 45-minutes in length and are scheduled for:
Guided Tours on Sunday, May 29th are 45-minutes in length and are scheduled for:
During the tour, our student guides will provide historical details while leading guests to popular spots throughout the building. They will learn about the unique features, space functions and design elements that make the SLC a world-class destination. Our guides will explain how students were involved in the early building stages, how they continue to stay engaged today, and how Ryerson is addressing the diverse needs of today’s students by providing new spaces to study, collaborate and share ideas.
Help us welcome guests that weekend and promote the SLC as a spot to visit during #DOT16. We want everyone to take advantage of this incredible weekend event, witness the future of learning, and see what Ryerson students get to enjoy every day. Share your experiences using #RSLC.
