“I love that I feel valued here. Before being a graphic designer, I used to work as an SLC Specialist and through that I met some employers who were just incredibly caring. They were able to see the potential in my creativity and allowed me to pursue a job here that’s a little more fitting to who I am.”

In the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving my mind had often been preoccupied with thoughts of all the things I am grateful for. One of the things I am most thankful for this year is the Student Learning Centre (SLC), as a student I am proud to study in the 21st Century Library that the SLC and Ryerson University Library and Archives (RULA) create together. As a Specialist and member of the Creative Team, I am thankful for the opportunities I have been presented. While thinking about this, I decided to sit down with other community members and learn why they are thankful for the SLC.
